Desert trek for injured Lincolnshire Police officer
A Lincolnshire police officer, who was seriously injured in a cycling accident, is training for a charity trek across the Sahara Desert.
Spalding officer PC Sarah Draper broke her shoulder after falling from her bike in Derbyshire in 2011.
She was flown to hospital by the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance and has decided to raise money for the charity.

PC Draper said: "Any one of us could require the help of the air ambulance at any time and, in a rural county like Lincolnshire, the helicopter could mean the difference between life and death."
The five-day trek starts in September.

Twitter user Sam, who's 25 and from Lincoln, posted "not going to lie but finding chicken in my veggie wrap was quite surprising."

Lincoln Crown Court heard how Wilkinson had been resting her mobile phone on her knees and using earphones during a brief conversation with her son.
As she approached a crossroads she paused the call to negotiate the junction. The 41 year old collided with a motorcyclist, 58 year old Paul White from Scotter, who died at the scene.
His brother Nigel described him as "a modest and much loved man." He added that "he'd lost part of his world which couldn't be replaced."
Donna Wilkinson was given an 8 month sentence, suspended for 2 years, and banned from driving for 30 months

A Lincolnshire animal rescue centre is caring for two exotic new visitors.

Staff at the Ark Wildlife Park in Stickney, near Boston, offered to take the white fox and serval after they were confiscated by authorities in Belgium after being kept illegally.
The serval, an African wildcat, is often nicknamed the "giraffe cat" because of its long legs.
The fox was being passed off as a dog by its owners.
Both animals are currently in the centre's quarantine area.
Last week, staff also took in a silver fox who they've named Dexter.

The fast-food chain launched their spicy veggie wrap earlier this year.
Its main ingredient is meant to be a red pesto vegetarian goujon, but customers have been given chicken nuggets instead.
McDonald's says: " We never want to disappoint customers, and any inaccuracy is not good enough."
125 year celebrations for Lincoln's New Theatre Royal
Final rehearsals are underway for a variety show to mark Lincoln's New Theatre Royal's 125th anniversary.
To mark the occasion, 125 performers will be on stage tomorrow night.
A number of big names, including Oscar winner Dame Judi Dench, have appeared on stage at the theatre over the years.
The theatre's currently enjoying a revival after new managers took over in 2016.

Teddy Wilson, from Holbeach, already races in the US Formula 4 Championship, but to continue to the next level he needs new funding.
The season starts in April, leaving the teenager with little time to raise the £10,000 he needs.
