Bomb disposal experts based at RAF Wittering are warning everyone to be cautious if they go magnet fishing in Cambridgeshire rivers.
Warrant Officer Phil Hunt, from the 5131 Bomb Disposal Squadron, said: "Magnet fishing is getting more popular, but it's not an everyday occurrence [that we're called out to something].
"Monty is a prime example of doing the right thing... if you're magnet fishing and you find something you're not sure of, contact the police immediately, leave the magnets attached to the items, don't mess around with it and let the experts deal with it."

Minister 'glad' at delay in library closures decision
The government has welcomed a delay in deciding the fate of 21 at-risk libraries in Northamptonshire.
The High Court ruled the county council's decision to close them was made unlawfully, and the cash-strapped Conservative-run authority said it would allow more time to speak to community groups interested in taking on their running.

Conservative MP for Kettering, Philip Hollobone, asked in the House of Commons: "Will the government's libraries task force be sent in to give the county council the best advice on how these libraries might be saved, perhaps with the creation of a libraries trust?"
In response, the culture minister and Tory MP for Northampton North, Michael Ellis said: "The matter's been passed to the secretary of state. However I do note the council recently decided to pause its proposed library changes to give further consideration to its proposals for the service and I'm glad about that."
The judicial review ruling does not prevent the authority from ultimately closing the libraries, but means it is having to reconsider its decision.
Deputy director of strategy, Mark Gregory, told Northamptonshire County Council's health scrutiny committee it was the biggest recruitment drive in many years.
He said: "For a number of years we have been in financial turnaround and are now entering into a transformative phase.
"We want to change the way we deliver services and become a key member of the NHS and social care economy in the county."

Planners dismissed an objection by another gym in the town which said it would have a bad impact on competitors.
The gym will feature an outdoor "strongman" facility with activities such as pulling sleds and flipping large tyres, but there will be a ban on amplified music in this area as part of planning conditions.
