  5. CCTV: Man pulls gun during street robbery

    Watch the moment a man pulls out what appears to be a gun to threaten a man in Bulwell.

    The man later steals the contents of the victim's wallet, police said.

    The firearm was also used to assault another man, causing minor injuries.

    The footage is from CCTV cameras outside the Londis store in Highbury Road at about 00:15 on Saturday 30 July.

  6. Travel: M1 lanes reopen

    There are still queues between junctions 24A and 25 northbound because of the earlier accident but all lanes have been reopened.

    Congestion is back to junction 23.

  11. Forest Rec sex assault claim 'false'

    An allegation of a sexual assault on the Forest Rec in Nottingham earlier this month was false, Nottinghamshire Police has said.

    The force said it carried out an in-depth investigation into the alleged attack in the early hours of 20 August.

    The woman who reported it "has been spoken with and dealt with appropriately", the force said on its website.

  12. No East Mids towns in family top 10

    There aren't any East Midlands towns in the top 10 areas to raise a family - the number one spot is Hertfordshire.

    However down the bottom of the table, we're joined by Leicester at number 137.

    Tashema Jackson, from uSwitch, which produced the survey, said: "For many consumers, the prospect of increased uncertainty in the run-up to Brexit may be a turning point, leading us to re-evaluate both how we manage our household budgets and how we provide stability for our families in the future."

  13. Nottingham 'sixth worst place for families'

    Nottingham is one of the worst places in the UK to raise a family, according to a new survey.

    The city ranked 133 out of 138 local authority areas in a survey by uSwitch.


    The results were based on things like employment, primary schools, access to GPs and council tax - all considered important to family life.
