We had perfect weather for the first Oswestry balloon festival over the bank holiday weekend.
They launched from the British Ironworks Centre, with around 40 balloons taking part.
Emergency repairs after pot hole opens up in Shifnal
There could be some congestion getting in and out of Shifnal this evening, because a hole has opened up in the five ways traffic island.
Shropshire Council says part of Haughton Lane has been closed and temporary traffic lights have been set up to allow emergency repairs to be carried out.

Football: Hurst says derby games are good for EFL trophy

Shrewsbury Town kick off their EFL Trophy campaign away to Coventry City tonight and manager Paul Hurst says derbies like this might help boost attendances for the competition.
It's suffered from low crowds and teams putting out reserve players in the past.
This season the tournament has been arranged so that all the group-stage matches are local ones.
Tonight's match will also pit Hurst against his former Rotherham team-mate Mark Robins, who manages Coventry.
'No guarantee' on relief road funding
There is "no guarantee" there will be money available for Shrewsbury to have a new relief road, Shropshire Council has said.
The authority was given nearly £1m by the Department for Transport to draw up an outline business case for the road and says it will have to lobby to get funding if the opportunity arises in the future.
A public consultation on the plans will begin in October, to update surveys last carried out in 2007.
Shrewsbury relief road plans 'on target'
Plans for a new relief road around Shrewsbury are "on target", Shropshire Council has said.
It's preparing an outline business case, which includes a survey of traffic around the town, which it plans to give to the Department for Transport by 22 December.
The authority was given £942,875 by the DfT to prepare this report.
BreakingPoultry shed plans approved amid 'shame on you' shouts

Plans to build four poultry units housing 210,000 chickens have been approved by Shropshire Council.
Campaigners shouted "shame on you" as the majority of councillors voted in favour of the scheme at Tasley, near Bridgnorth.
Locals complained dust from the birds would affect their health, but their concerns were overridden.
They say they'll now appeal.

American football: Shropshire to face Glasgow in Brit Bowl

Shropshire Revolution will play Glasgow Tigers in the first Brit Bowl final in their 11-year history, after victory over Gateshead Senators at the weekend.
Their opponents came into the game with an impressive 9-1 record, but were shut out by the Revolution at Oakengates with the game ending 35-0.
Shropshire lost in the Brit Bowl semi finals in 2010, 2011 and 2014 and head coach Stephen Tonks said the win was extra special for the veteran players and coaches still with the team who had tasted defeat in those games.
The final will be played at the John Charles Stadium in Leeds on 10 September.

Protesters opposing plans for four large chicken sheds at a farm near Bridgnorth have welcomed Shropshire councillors visiting the site ahead of a planning meeting later today.

The club is without first-choice keeper Dean Henderson, who is away with the England under-21 squad, while Shaun Rowley is on loan at Tamworth.
Craig MacGillivray is the only other goalie on Shrewsbury's books and is set to start against Coventry.

A public consultation will be launched this autumn as the proposed Shrewsbury north west relief road moves a step closer.
Safe standing appeal passes halfway mark
Shrewsbury Town's bid to raise £75,000 to create a safe standing area in their stadium has passed the halfway mark.
The club's Supporter's Parliament started an online appeal on 1 August to collect the money needed to rip out the old seats and replace them with rail seating.
It set itself a deadline of 12 September - 14 days away.
So far £40,811 has been donated and there have been 599 individual contributions.
The biggest one that has been made public has come from the Manchester United Supporters Trust, which gave more than £2,000.
Plans for yurts near Clun set to get approval
Plans to put up six yurts in a farmer's field near Clun will go before Shropshire councillors today.
The land is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Clun Town Council and a number of local residents have raised concerns about noise, litter and fires there.
A report drawn up by officers accepts development of the land is a sensitive issue, but suggests the campsite is given planning permission, subject to a number of conditions.

The game at the Ricoh Arena kicks off at 19:45.
The final is at Wembley but the early games don't attract much fan-interest.
But Shrewsbury boss Paul Hurst, who won the competition as a player, is right behind it.
Drivers braced for more roadworks
More roadworks start in Telford today.
This time the work is scheduled for Holyhead Road between its junctions with Roman Road and Haygate Road.
There'll be a five-mile diversion in place for traffic trying to get to and from Wellington using junction seven of the M54/A5.
Telford and Wrekin Council says the works, which are part of a resurfacing programme, will be completed by 6 September.
