  1. Gorillaz, as you've never seen them before

The animated heroes of Gorillaz have appeared together in their first ever 'live' performance video.

Yes, we know they are a bunch of virtual band members, so the term 'live' is kind of nonsensical, but it must be true - it says so in the press release!

The video, which accompanies the track Tranz, sees the familiar characters playing together as a band for the first time, to evoke the feel of a "real" music video.

OK then. See it for yourselves above.

Gorillaz - the brainchild of Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett - host their second annual Demon Dayz festival in Los Angeles on 20 October, following the last year's inaugural event in Margate.

    A well trodden path...

  2. Ed Sheeran on GoT: 'They should have killed me off'

    Ed Sheeran

Ed Sheeran got a bit of flack when he appeared on the hit show Game of Thrones.

Some even suggested the negative reaction to his brief appearance as a singing soldier on the HBO series led to him leaving the Twitter-verse - though the ginger one disputes this.

Still, he told Buzzfeed, that killing him off might have been a more satisfactory end for those dissenters to his cameo.

‘It was fun being in Game of Thrones, but I definitely think they should’ve killed me off in the episode.

"I reckon that probably would’ve been the redemption for people that didn’t like it."

Nonetheless he believes his character is "still out there...chilling".

Oh, and he also revealed he sings Taco Friday in the shower and he'd be a Hufflepuff (that's a Harry Potter reference for those of you scratching your heads).

All this while playing with kittens - is there no end to the man's talents?!
