    A Brighton academic, who's from Finland, and married to a British man, has spoken of her dismay about receiving a letter wrongly telling her she'd be deported.

  11. Search for missing diver suspended

    The UK Coastguard has called off its search for a 68-year-old man from Brighton, who went missing during a dive off Great Yarmouth.

    Helicopters, commercial vessels and RNLI lifeboats were involved in the 14-hour search, which began on Monday evening at 18:00 BST when the man was reported missing.

    He had been diving 12 miles east of Great Yarmouth.

    Formal searches may be resumed on receipt of any new information.

    Police want to speak to this man in connection with a robbery in Hailsham last month. It happened in the shop at Knockhatch Adventure Park at around 15:40 BST on Wednesday 26 July.

    One man waited outside while a second man went in, asking staff for change for a note.

    When the till was opened by one of the shop workers, he demanded cash from it and indicated he had a knife. He left with money and with the other man.
