Phil Sharp was part of the Imerys Clean Energy team that won their class and set a new record in the Sevenstar Round Britain and Ireland race.
They crossed the finish line at about 16:30 to win the race in a time of 8 days, 4 hours, 14 minutes and 43 seconds.
The race was one of Sharp's last events before taking on the Route Du Rhum Atlantic Challenge in November.
Resident blasts 'horrendous' planning guidelines for site

Planning guidelines for the area known as the Briarwood in St Martin have been described as "horrendous" by a local resident.

The States drew up the guidelines for future developers as a "framework" for any planning applications which might be made for the area.
Members of the island's Development and Planning Authority said it would be suitable to build up to 22 homes on the site, but a local resident - who asked to remain anonymous - said it would be "horrendous for generations to come".
The resident said more houses could put pressure on the local school, which was already "massively overpopulated", and warned future development could make traffic issues worse for the area as the roads were already "bottlenecks".
No planning applications have been made for the site by developers since the guidelines were released.
Flights starting to arrive into the Channel Islands
There are still some delays on Guernsey arrivals, with the 15:00 East Midlands Aurigny flight due in at 16:40 and the 16:55 Flybe to Exeter and Jersey due at 17:55.
In Jersey, the Flybe 15:35 Cardiff flight is due in at 16:20 and the 16:05 Flybe Exeter flight is due in at 17:05.
The fog has started to clear but Jersey Met has forecast that the fog will return into Monday evening.
Sports men and women are being asked to back this year's Channel Island Pride by wearing rainbow-coloured laces and sweatbands.
The Pride in Sport initiative encourages local sports stars to show their support for the LGBT community.
Organisers say it aims to encourage everyone to feel confident and safe whilst playing sport.
Ellie Jones, the head of the charity Liberate in Guernsey, says there is still prejudice and discrimination in sport that needs to be challenged.

An independent planning inspector recommended the development should go ahead in a process that cost taxpayers £25,000.
Planning Minister John Young went against the inspector, saying approving the development in the green zone would set a precedent for future applications.

Deputy Scott Wickenden, who has called for the decision to be overturned, said the decision should be made by the Planning Committee, not by the minister on his own.
Deputy Wickenden said: "It would make it very hard to review and consider any planning application on its own merits, and the application process would end up being something similar to a court case."
'Don't come to the airport' if flight is cancelled

Jersey Airport has urged passengers not to come to the airport if their flight has been cancelled.
In a statement, airport officials told people to "contact the airline directly for rebooking options".
Guernsey Police are trying to find the person who left "deep scratches" to the rear passenger door of a silver car on Saturday.
Officers said the Ford vehicle was scratched whilst parked in the Countil Bris Estate in St Peter Port between 13:30 on Saturday 18 August and 10:15 on Sunday.
Four flights leaving Jersey on Monday morning - Guernsey, Birmingham, Exeter, Liverpool and Gatwick - have been cancelled with others delayed.

Surfer rescued after leash snapped

A surfer was rescued from St Ouen's bay on Friday afternoon after the leash snapped on his board.
He was enjoying the water at about 15:15 when a wave broke and snapped the leash on his board.
He was within the lifeguard zone and so was easily spotted according to the RNLI.
He was taken back to the beach on the lifeguard rescue board.
Kris Heron, senior lifeguard on duty, said by the time the surfer got back to shore he was cold and exhausted but didn't need an ambulance.

'Watch what you flush' warning after 'fatberg' blockage

Water engineers in Guernsey are warning people to "watch what they flush" after more than a tonne of waste flushed down the toilet caused serious blockages on 15 August.
The "fatberg" was made predominately of wet wipes and caused problems for the island's water system.
The blockage was at a pumping station on the South Side of St Sampsons Harbour and a crane was needed to pull it out.
Operations manager Jon Holt said only the three Ps - "poo pee and paper" - should get flushed down the toilet.

Flights to and from the Channel Islands are starting to leave after coastal fog led to a number of delays and cancellations earlier.
There are still some delays on Guernsey arrivals, with the 15:00 East Midlands Aurigny flight due in at 16:40 and the 16:55 Flybe to Exeter and Jersey due at 17:55.

About 3,000 passengers are due to travel in and out of Jersey Airport on Monday and four flights have been cancelled, with others facing delays due to the coastal fog.
Ports of Jersey said there was passenger space on the ferry service to Poole at 14:45 and Portsmouth at 19:05.
Officials said if a flight was delayed passengers should check-in as normal.
Jersey Met said the fog was due to clear up on Monday afternoon but could return in the evening.
