Train delays due to signalling problem

Rail passengers are being warned of delays until 14:00 due to a signalling problem at Brockenhurst Station.

Commuters have reported services being delayed by up to an hour.

We've also been told of a power cut affecting Poole station.

Motorway closure for bridge works

Part of the M27 will be shut every night this week in Hampshire.

The eastbound carriageway will be closed overnight between junction 3 for the M271 in Southampton and junction 4 for the M3 between 21:00 and 06:00.

The closure is for works on Romsey Road Bridge.

A signed diversion route will be in place, with motorists advised to take the A3057 and the A27.

Goshawks: The rare bird of prey returns to the New Forest
A rare bird of prey, which was once close to extinction, has seen its numbers double in the New Forest.

There were 20 goshawk breeding pairs recorded in 2011 in Hampshire, Forestry England says there are now 40 pairs. 

The woodland raptors are nicknamed the 'Phantoms of the Forest' due to their elusive nature.
