No courts would close but the move is predicted to save £25,000 a year for Portsmouth City Council, the Local Democracy Reporting Service said.

Another option being considered by Portsmouth is a merger with Isle of Wight coroner service.

The options will be discussed at a cabinet meeting of Portsmouth City Council on Tuesday.
