The 49-year-old was getting into his car on Kenrick Way, in West Bromwich, at about 22:30 on Wednesday when he was hit by another car, officers say.

The offending car would have significant damage to its front and we need to speak to anyone that has noticed anything unusual about a neighbour’s car or who has dash-cam footage leading up to, during or after the incident."

It's a match the Bears need to win to keep alive any hopes of making the quarter-finals.

Hamish Rutherford is named in a 14-man Worcestershire squad and Moeen Ali (pictured) will captain the side.

New Zealander Martin Guptill will play his final T20 game in the group stages this evening, but another New Zealander has arrived - Hamish Rutherford should figure today, after he came in to replace Callum Ferguson, who's had to return home to Australia.

Play is due to begin at 19:00 and there will be commentary on BBC WM DAB digital radio, on BBC Hereford & Worcester on 738AM and via online.

The boys will be looking forward to it. I think we've performed really well over the last couple of years, certainly in white-ball cricket so we have got some confidence in T20."

Four-in-one pill prevents third of heart problems

James Gallagher

Health and science correspondent, BBC News

A daily pill containing four medicines can cut the number of heart attacks and strokes by a third, a study shows.

The polypill contains blood-thinning aspirin, a cholesterol-lowering statin and two drugs to lower blood pressure.

Researchers - in Birmingham, Iran and the USA - said the pill had a huge impact but cost just pennies a day.

They suggest giving it to everyone over a certain age in poorer countries, where doctors have fewer options and are less able to assess individuals.

We've provided evidence in a developing or middle-income country - and that's a lot of countries - that this is a strategy worth considering."
