Calling all amateur astronomers to help a space mission which could help save Planet Earth
A Belfast astronomer is on a mission. Professor Alan Fitzsimmons from Queen's University in Belfast is calling for amateur astronomers to help the multinational space mission, Hera. It's designed to calculate how to stop asteroids colliding with the planet but experts need help deciding which asteroids to observe. BBC reporter Will Leitch has been speaking to Professor Fitzsimmons about what help is needed.

'Racial hate crime' investigated in Newtownabbey

Police say paint was thrown at a house in the Fernagh Avenue area and a window was broken.

Police are treating an attack on a house in Newtownabbey, County Antrim, as a racially-motivated hate crime.

It happened in the Fernagh Avenue area in the early hours of Sunday.

The PSNI said it received a call at about 00:25 GMT that a number of paint bombs had been thrown at a house, with one smashing the front window.

Insp Patton said two men and two women, all in their 20s, and a young boy were reportedly inside the house but escaped injury.
