Flood barriers ready as counties due to be hardest hit
With river levels expected to continue rising over the next 24 hours, the Environment Agency says it is setting up flood barriers at Frankwell in Shrewsbury and Severnside North in Bewdley.
The flood gates at Upton upon Severn in Worcestershire are closed, excluding Dunn's Lane, and the Kempsey pumping station is also operational.
Dave Throup from the Environment Agency says the area expected to be worst hit by flooding is now likely to be further south than first thought - meaning parts of Herefordshire and Worcestershire will be the hardest hit.
