A new 500-capacity club and will soon open in Croydon town centre.
Phase is expected to open in December on the site of former strip club Hustler Club which closed suddenly back in May this year.
The new club in Crown Hill will be run by Lambeth Group – the team behind Brixton’s Prince of Wales.
It is expected to open until 04:00 on Friday and Saturday nights with two dedicated club rooms as well as a studio.
The owners also plan on opening up the venue for mid-week live music and comedy shows.
Phase also plans to partner with organisations and charities to offer out its studio and stage space to local groups.
Managing director for the company, Wayne Saunders, said: “We’re committed to offering a platform for emerging artists and a hub for established acts from the underground electronic music scene, as well as developing a performance space for local and London-wide talent from spoken word, cabaret, comedy and live music.
“Alongside this programme, we’ll also be working with local music charities such as Grooveschool to help develop young people’s skills in DJ and music production.”
