As part of National Apprenticeship Week these apprentices are share their best do's and don'ts whilst starting out at work.
Employers in Cumbria are being asked to consider taking on more apprentices.
Furness College says it's Cumbria's biggest education provider at age 16-plus, and says by recruiting people in this way they can be trained to meet specific business needs.
It's principal says the college practices what it preaches, and that it's also a myth that apprenticeships are only for teenagers:
But now apprentices are for any age. And when we have a vacancy in the college, we always consider recruiting an apprentice first. (It's) about growing your own, which is really important."
