Election results: 'We'll fight back' Corbyn on Labour losses
Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has said he is "very sorry" his party hasn't won more seats, despite the party taking control of former Tory flagship council Trafford.

Mr Corbyn visited Sale earlier following Labour's significant victory.
He continued:: "We'll fight back and we'll win them back".
We are going to campaign and continue to campaign to try and keep and bring people together in negotations over Brexit, but also to oppose austerity and put forward an agenda which deals with the injustices that exist in this country.
He acknowledged the party want to do better, and blamed the results on "local factors" as well as "people probably disagreeing with both parties on attitudes to the European Union".
He said:
Our policy is that we’re the only party that seeks to appeal to people however they voted in 2016 and to seek to defend jobs and working conditions in this country.
Election results: Labour celebrate 'stunning' night in Trafford
Labour has taken full control of the former Tory flagship council of Trafford gaining six seats on a difficult night for the Conservatives.
The Tories lost nine councillors with the Liberal Democrats adding two seats and the Greens one.
Sir Graham Brady, Conservative MP for Altrincham and Sale West, said that "dissatisfaction with the national scene was massively at play".
It is the first time Labour has taken control of Trafford since 2003.

The new Labour leader of the council, Andrew Western said:
It's a stunning set of results tonight. We've won a ward that we've never one before.
I think this is an endorsement of our first year in office and I could not be happier with the result.
