Head teacher says schools will have to make cuts

A Cumbrian head teacher and prominent campaigner for more spending on schools says his school is one of a number that has posted a negative budget for the first time.

The Department for Education says it is trying to help schools with their budgeting challenges, and ministers say more money is going into schools than ever before.

But Clem Coady from Stoneraise School, a primary school near Carlisle, says it is not keeping up with increasing pupil numbers.
