Margaret Atwood and Bernardine Evaristo become the first authors to jointly win the Booker Prize since 1992.

Londoner makes Booker shortlist

A novel by a London writer has made the shortlist of the prestigious Booker Prize.

Bernardine Evaristo's Girl, Woman, Other, is vying for the top prize alongside five other novels.

Evaristo, from Eltham, south-east London, will find out if she won on 14 October.
