The jellyfish have been spotted in the shallow waters of the marina and harbour.
Guy Pottinger, 35, said: "It looked as though they were feeding off something on the harbour wall.
"As I walked on I noticed lots more jellyfish in the water."
The jellyfish are attracted inshore by plankton blooms which provide a plentiful supply of food.
The sea creatures look a lot like jellyfish and thousands of people have been stung by them in just a few days.
