Four passengers stable after A12 crash in Ilford

Four people are in a stable condition after Saturday's four-vehicle crash on the A12 in Ilford, east London, in which a 69-year-old man was killed.

He was in a car driven by a woman, 61, who has been discharged from hospital. A second passenger, in his 60s, and a man and two women in their 20s from a second car are still being treated.

A post-mortem examination will be held on Tuesday, police said.

A man has been bailed on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

The 26-year-old must report back to police in east London in May.
