'Calm' M6 coach driver praised

Armed police, sniffer dogs, bomb disposal units, and at least 18 fire crews were part of the emergency services' response to the M6 Toll coach incident on Thursday. Staffordshire Police, who led the response, would not confirm figures, but aerial images give some sense of the scale of the response. From images and reports, we have estimated the minimum numbers of those involved.

Passengers were taken off a Megabus coach and held in a cordon on the closed-off motorway while checks were made, after a report from someone who saw vapour coming from a man's bag. It was later found to be an electronic cigarette.
