Survey identifies skills shortage in County Durham

A survey to identify the skills needed to tackle unemployment and boost job prospects has begun in County Durham.

Businesses in Bishop Auckland and Sheldon areas are being questioned by the local enterprise agency.

The aim is to find out what skills are needed and what support is available in the local area.

The information will provide evidence and guidance to make initiatives such as employment and apprenticeship fairs more effective.
