Two men travelling in the recovery truck were injured and taken to Queen Mary's Hospital, in Sidcup.

A man in his 40s, from Littlehampton, in West Sussex, was transferred to the Royal London Hospital, where he later died of his injuries.

The vehicles involved were a green Scania articulated lorry and a yellow Iveco car recovery truck.
