Couple arrested over Isle of Wight beach sex act


A couple have been arrested on suspicion of outraging public decency after allegedly engaging in sexual acts on a popular holidaymakers' beach.

The 72-year-old man and 49-year-old woman were arrested at Shanklin Esplanade, on the Isle of Wight.

Police were alerted by members of the public on Sunday who witnessed the pair apparently involved in a sexual act.

The man, originally from the Derby area, and woman from Redhill, Surrey, were bailed until 26 September.

Police are appealing for witnesses.
