A woman has appeared in court charged with murdering her estranged husband in Surrey by bludgeoning him to death.
Sally Challen spoke only to confirm her name, address and date of birth in a hearing before Staines magistrates.
Richard Challen, 61, was found dead on Sunday at his home in Ruxley Ridge, Claygate, where he lived alone.
Mrs Challen, 56, of Coverts Road, Claygate, was remanded in custody. She is due to appear before Guildford Crown Court in the next two days.
The office manager was arrested on Sunday after she was persuaded to leave the edge of cliffs at Beachy Head, East Sussex.
Surrey Police said Mr Challen had suffered "severe blunt force trauma to the head".
