Motorists are being warned about heavy traffic heading to the V Festival in Staffordshire.

About 90,000 people and 25,000 vehicles are expected at the festival, which starts on Saturday, in Weston Park near the Staffordshire/Shropshire border.

The campsite opened earlier and organisers urged as many people as possible to come by train.

Traffic was moving slowly on the M54 in Shropshire, the M6 in Staffordshire and the A5, the Highways Agency said.
