Nearly 130 people have been cautioned for drug possession at the V Festival site in Staffordshire.

About 90,000 people had been expected at the event in Weston Park, near the Staffordshire and Shropshire border.

Eighteen people were arrested on suspicion of possessing controlled drugs and 17 were held on suspicion of supplying controlled drugs.

Fifty-nine arrests had been made in total and 62 crimes had been reported by late Sunday morning.

The crimes reported included 26 thefts from tents.

A total of 128 people had been cautioned for drug possession by 1130 BST on Sunday.

Gates opened at Weston Park for festival-goers on Friday ahead of the event on Saturday and Sunday.

The ambulance service, one of the organisations operating a medical centre at the site, said that by 0740 BST on Sunday more than 370 people had been dealt with.

It added that 15 people had gone to hospital, with the majority of cases being "relatively minor".
