Family tribute to lake death fisherman
The family of a North Yorkshire angler found in a lake in Cumbria has paid tribute to a "loving and caring" man.
Mark Bryant, 55, from Beamsley, was last seen fishing on Ullswater on Tuesday. The alarm was raised when he failed to return to his campsite.
Following a major search, the body of the father-of-two was discovered in the water on Wednesday evening.
His partner, Colette Munro, said: "The family can take some comfort knowing that he died in a place he loved."
She described him in a family statement as a "sensitive, complex and loving family man, who had a real passion for the countryside".
She added: "He was a very good artist and also loved music and playing the guitar.
"Losing Mark has left a huge hole in all of our lives and we now need time to come to terms with our grief."
