County Durham rescue team reports busy period

Volunteers with a County Durham mountain rescue team have reported one of their busiest weeks.

Members of Teesdale and Weardale Search and Mountain Rescue Team were called to help with searches for three missing people in four days.

In two of the searches, a man and woman were found safe but in the third a man's body was found.

The team has had more than 50 call-outs so far during 2010 and said the busy week had put a strain on its resources.
