A mother has appeared at the Old Bailey accused of murdering her two children whose bodies were found in the boot of a car in East Sussex.

Fiona Morag Donnison, of Marshwood Road, Lightwater, Surrey, was remanded in custody to face a four-week trial at Lewes Crown Court next March.

The 43-year-old, a former City worker, did not enter a plea and spoke only to confirm her name.

Her children, Harry, three, and Elise, two, appeared to have been asphyxiated.

They were found in separate holdalls in the boot of a Nissan car near the former family home in Heathfield in January.

A further court hearing is due to take place in December.
