Motorcylist dies in Shropshire tractor-towing collision

A motorcyclist has died and a second rider has been seriously hurt in a collision in Shropshire involving a tractor and a trailer.

The first rider died in a collision with the trailer on a minor road in Corfton, between Craven Arms and Much Wenlock, just after 1530 BST on Sunday.

The man has not been formally identified, but was believed to be from the Kidderminster area, police said.

His travelling companion also came off his motorcycle.

Post-mortem tests

The second man lost control of his BMW S1000 but was not thought to have collided with any other vehicle, West Mercia Police said.

Pc Mike Pearce: "We are seeking anyone who saw the actual collision or the circumstances leading up to it."

The two motorcyclists were travelling from the Craven Arms direction towards Much Wenlock.

South Shropshire coroner Anthony Sibcy has been informed and post-mortem tests are due to be carried out on Tuesday.
