Man arrested after victim shot in leg

A 28-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was shot through the door of his home in West Sussex.

Police said the man, from the Birmingham area, was arrested on Thursday in Newport, Gwent.

The arrest follows the shooting of a 29-year-old man in Park Way, Crawley, on 3 August. The victim suffered minor injuries to his leg.

The man arrested in Newport has been released on police bail.

Two men from Birmingham have already been charged with attempted murder and remanded in custody until 26 November.

The men, aged 30 and 50, have also been charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

A 50-year-old man arrested on 7 August has been bailed until Tuesday.
