Suspect in Robertsbridge farm murder case re-bailed

A 40-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murdering businessman Julian Gardner at his East Sussex farm has been re-bailed.

Sussex Police said the man from Ashford, Kent, has had his bail extended until 17 January.

Mr Gardner, 53, died on 11 October from multiple injuries after apparently disturbing thieves in outbuildings at his Robertsbridge farm.

Four other men from the Ashford area have also been arrested and bailed.

Mr Gardner's body was found by his business partner. He had suffered several fractures and compression injuries.
