Man injured in bottle attack in Darlington club

A man needed several stitches when he was hit in the face with a bottle in an "unprovoked" attack on a Christmas night out in County Durham.

The 36-year-old victim from Staindrop, was in the Inside-Out nightclub in Beaumont Street, Darlington, when he was "glassed" by another man.

Durham Police said the man needed several stitches at the University Hospital of Durham.

The attack happened on 18, December but information has just been released.
