Bosses at East Midlands Airport have said they expect Sunday to be its busiest day of the Christmas period.
About 130,000 passengers are expected to depart and arrive from the Castle Donington-based airport between 21 December and 4 January.
About 10,000 people will travel through the airport on Sunday.
A spokeswoman said the top destinations for festive travellers were Tenerife, Arrecife, Fuerteventura, Sharm El Sheikh and Gran Canaria.
East Midlands Airport was unaffected by snow during the past week and took more than 30 diverted flights from elsewhere in the UK.
Flights scheduled for Gatwick, Birmingham, Heathrow and Manchester airports landed at East Midlands.
