Comet expansion creates jobs in Essex and Lancashire

Electrical retailer Comet has announced it is to create 150 jobs by expanding its two distribution centres in Essex and Lancashire.
The centres in Harlow and Skelmersdale are to be extended as part of a UK-wide efficiency strategy, the company said.
On 5 February, Comet said it would close a service centre in Scotland, with the loss of 40 jobs.
It is understood some staff at the Coatbridge site will be offered positions at the centres in England.
A 30-day consultation with workers has begun.
