Devon and Cornwall flooding alerts as rain sweeps in

Many areas of Devon and Cornwall are on flood alert amid a warning of heavy rain until 1800 GMT.

The Environment Agency has put out flood alerts on the River Tamar around Bude, Helebridge, Bridgerule, Canworthy Water and Yeolmbridge.

Alerts are also in place at Lands End, Helston, Crowlas, St Ives, Hayle, Camborne and Perranporth.

On the south Devon coast, alerts have also been issued for Beesands, Torcross, Slapton, Torbay and Dawlish.
