Gas supply restored to 500 homes after cut
- Published
Gas supplies have been restored to about 500 homes in Suffolk after residents were cut off for more than two days.
Contractors cut through a pipe while carrying out works in the Framlington area on Thursday. More than 1,000 people were left without power.
Engineers were called in from around the country to help fix the problem.
Half of the residents had their power restored on Friday and most of those remaining were reconnected on Saturday.
The National Grid said there were a few houses which were still off line because engineers had not been able to gain access.
Details of a helpline number have been posted through their doors and their gas will be restored when residents contact them.
