New arrest over strangling death of Carl Chadwick

A man has been arrested on suspicion of the murder of a Warrington man who was stabbed and strangled in his home.

Carl Chadwick, 40, was found on dead at his flat on Grasmere Avenue in the Orford area on 29 January.

Detectives arrested a 39-year-old man early on Wednesday and he is being questioned by police.

A 32-year-old man and 29-year-old woman who were arrested on 29 January remain on bail until 8 March pending further inquiries.

Mr Chadwick was last seen in a local shop on 18 January.

It was thought several thousand pounds of cash was also stolen from the flat following the victim's death.

Cheshire Police offered a reward of £30,000 for information that leads to the conviction of the killer.
