Police have carried out stop checks on a road in Suffolk as part of their investigation into the murder of two men on a travellers' site last week.

David Castell, 29, and Shane Hill, 20, both from Essex, were found shot dead at Willow Park, Beck Row, on 15 March.

Officers carried out stop checks off the A1101 Shippea Hill Road and The Street in Beck Row on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.

Armed police continue to patrol the area around the site.

Provisional post-mortem examination results showed both men died from gunshot wounds.

Two men arrested in connection with the deaths have been released on bail.

Police were called to the scene following reports of shots and officers found the bodies of the two men.

Mr Castrell, of no fixed address, but who had been living in Southend, was found inside a car which had been set on fire.
