Christchurch woman dies in A338 Fordingbridge crash

A woman has died in a three-vehicle crash on a major route through Hampshire.

The 29-year-old from Christchurch, Dorset, was driving a Citroen Saxo car when it collided with a Peugeot car and a lorry on the A338 near Fordingbridge.

Police want to speak to a driver who overtook the lorry before the collision between Braemore, Hampshire, and Downton, Wiltshire, at about 0800 BST.

The Peugeot driver suffered minor injuries. The lorry driver was unhurt.

The road was closed for nearly six hours to allow officers to investigate fully.
