Norwich to London trains hit by high winds

High winds have disrupted train services on the Norwich to London line.

Buses replaced National Express East Anglia services between Diss and Norwich from about 0930 BST on Monday, adding about 30 minutes to journey times through the morning.

Network Rail said the problems were caused by branches from a tree touching the 25,000 volt overhead lines.

The tree was cut down and power switched back on. Services were returning to normal from 1300 BST.

Some knock-on disruption was expected.
