Motorcyclist dies in collision with deer at Bilsdale

A Teesside man died when his motorcycle hit a deer on a North Yorkshire road.

He was travelling on the B1257 near Bilsdale when his Ducati struck the animal on Monday morning.

The 65-year-old from Brotton, near Saltburn, whose name has not yet been released, was pronounced dead at the scene. The deer was also killed.

Anyone who saw the incident at 1130 BST, or the motorcyclist between Stokesley and Bilsdale, is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police.
