Man jailed over Dover fake stamps find

A man who was found with more than 10,000 fake first-class stamps by customs officers at the Port of Dover has been jailed.

Robert Aleksiejczyk, 32, from Salford, Greater Manchester, was sentenced to two years at Canterbury Crown Court.

Aleksiejczyk admitted possession of a false instrument and assisting illegal entry at the court on 22 July.

The routine check was carried out on 14 February after a ferry arrived from Calais.

Aleksiejczyk was sentenced to 18 months for assisting illegal entry and six months for possession of a false instrument.
