Passenger in Brighton fatal crash named by police

Police have named a man who died after a stolen car crashed in Brighton.

Dennis Blake, 35, from Anfield, Liverpool, died at the scene of the collision in Mill Road on 14 January.

He was a passenger in a stolen Mazda MX5 when it collided with railings after accelerating past a stationary police car at about 23:00 GMT.

Two men, aged 39 and 33, originally held on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking and death by dangerous driving, have been taken back into custody.

Police said both men, from Brighton, were injured in the collision. They had been released from prison on licence after being convicted for drugs offences.
