East Midlands Trains services disrupted after signal failure

Rail services between the East Midlands and London are running again after signalling problems.

Network Rail engineers repaired the fault, which was in the Leagrave area, between Bedford and Luton.

East Midlands Trains services to St Pancras were delayed or cancelled earlier because of the problem.

The firm said services to and from the capital were now running as normal and disruption was not expected during the evening rush hour.

A spokeswoman for East Midlands Trains said: "We would like to apologise to our passengers for any inconvenience they experienced as a result of the signalling problem this morning."
