Lorry driver struck by car in Oxford 'road rage' attack

A lorry driver was knocked down by a car in a suspected road rage attack at traffic lights in Oxford.

The incident, early on Saturday, happened after the driver of a BMW shouted abuse at him, leading the HGV driver to leave his cab, police said.

The driver then allegedly struck him with the car, throwing him over the bonnet on Oxford Ring Road, Cowley.

He was uninjured but left shaken. Police are appealing for witnesses.
