Public ballot for Henley-on-Thames Diamond Jubilee party

A ballot is being held to allocate tickets for a Diamond Jubilee garden party in Oxfordshire attended by the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh.

The event in Henley-on-Thames on 25 June is being organised by the Lord Lieutenants of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.

Residents of the three counties can take part in a ballot for more than a quarter of the 4,000 free tickets.

They will join guests from charities, civic and business organisations.

and each successful applicant will be allocated a double ticket

The party is being staged as part of the Queen's UK-wide Diamond Jubilee regional tour.
