Hang-glider cliff crash in Dorset injures man, aged 77

A 77-year-old man is being treated in hospital after his hang-glider crashed into a cliff in Dorset.

Portland Coastguard said the man, believed to be from South Petherton in Somerset, had a suspected dislocated hip.

Paramedics treated him at the scene after being called to Eype, near Charmouth, at about 18:00 BST.

He was then airlifted to Dorchester County Hospital by the Coastguard Rescue Helicopter.

Coastguard rescue teams from Lyme Regis and West Bay also attended the scene.
