Sussex man guilty of 33 counts of fraud

A man has been found guilty of 33 counts of fraud amounting to £236,500.

John Alexander Taylor, 63, of Lordings Road, Billingshurst, West Sussex was accused of fraud by false representation between May 2009 and February 2011.

Sussex Police carried out an investigation into a non-existent charity ball and charity donations.

He was found not guilty of a further five counts at Guildford Crown Court and will be sentenced on 26 June.

He was remanded in custody.

The offences were carried out in Horsham and Kingston Gorse, near Littlehampton, in West Sussex, Southampton, Petersfield and Liphook in Hampshire.
