A woman from Stoke-on-Trent has been arrested on suspicion of assault following an attack on a man and woman at a Lady Gaga concert in Manchester.

The injured pair, who were believed to be in the standing area at the show on 11 September, appeared to have been "punched and scratched", police said.

British Transport Police's Det Sgt Steve May said he was "determined to get to the bottom of this incident".

The arrested 36-year-old has been bailed pending further enquiries.

The show at Manchester Arena was part of Lady Gaga's Born This Way Ball world tour.

Mr May said the man and woman "should have enjoyed a landmark concert [but were] left with nasty injuries".
